Berlea, is a one bedroomed flint cottage, situated on the coastline of North Norfolk with on-site parking, equipped with a king-size bed, bath and rainfall shower, log burner. Containing a spacious kitchen lounge diner as well as full use of our summerhouse and shared garden, which provides outstanding views of the sunset and rural nature.
My name is Emma, I grew up in my parents public house, where I loved the environment and could not wait to start waitressing. When I left school I went to hospitality college and from there on have managed Tea Rooms, A la Carte restaurants, pubs as well as working in cafes. However, it has always been my dream to run my own B&B. In March 2022 I bought Berlea, after falling in love with the property, the beautiful surroundings and future potential making it a place I could build my dream and vision. With lots of help from family and friends Berlea is now up and running as a tranquil escape for you all to enjoy. In winter you can curl up next to the log burner after a long walk. Whereas, in summer you can relax in the summer house with a glass of wine and a book watching the stunning sunsets. You are sure to see a range of wildlife, including deer and lots more from the garden, with the cliff tops at the end of the road. This slice of British country side is the perfect place to escape your busy lives, to rest and recuperate with perfect opportunities to explore this stunning part of the world.
Berlea is an elegant flint cottage set along the Paston Way, just 200 metres from North Norfolk’s renowned coastal path. Thoughtfully positioned for both tranquillity and convenience, the cottage is well served by a reliable bus service, with a stop at the end of the road offering effortless connections to nearby villages and the historic seaside town of Cromer.
Surrounded by unspoilt countryside and nature, Berlea is an idyllic retreat for lovers of the coast. A wonderful selection of local pubs, cafés and restaurants are close by, while several National Trust properties lie within easy reach. Cromer itself is only a 10-minute drive away, celebrated for its rich history, iconic pier and renowned pier theatre.
Guests can enjoy off-street parking, a guest garden and the warmth of a welcoming log burner, perfect for cooler evenings. Trimingham Beach is just a five-minute easy drive away, or a more adventureous 15-minute walk for those wishing to explore the steep clifftop landscape on foot. For keen walkers, a breathtaking 90-minute coastal path leads directly into Cromer, offering spectacular sea views along the way.
In the warmer months, the beautifully maintained garden and summerhouse provide the perfect setting to unwind, with stunning sunsets and far-reaching countryside views. During the winter, the log burner creates a cosy and inviting atmosphere, making Berlea a luxurious escape in every season.
